Undergraduate Requirements

Political Science Minor

The Department of Political Science at the UW offers a minor in political science, which requires 30 credits. A minor in political science is designed for students who wish to think critically about issues related to government and politics. This knowledge can aid students in becoming informed and engaged citizens. Moreover, the political science minor is an excellent supplement to other majors within and outside the liberal arts discipline.

To Apply:

You must have 90 credits at the time of your minor application.
To enroll in the POL S minor, you can visit any undergraduate advising office on campus. You do not have to apply for the POL S minor through the Political Science Advising Office, but we are available to enroll you in the POL S (or any other) minor and to answer your questions.
