(Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania), Professor of Political Science,
is a specialist in international political economy and international
relations theory. He is editor of Comparative Political Studies.
He has published articles in International Studies Quarterly, American
Political Science Review, International Organization, Review of
European Integration, as well as several other journals. He has
written, co-authored, and edited numerous books, most recently The
Changing International Division of Labor (1987), The Elusive State
(1989), Theories of Political Economy (with David Levine, 1992),
and Dilemmas of European Integration (forthcoming). He teaches courses
on international political economy, international relations theory,
regional integration, and comparative politics.
