Syllabus Description:

This is our class Website.  Principally, this will be where you will find assignment directions, your syllabus, and other materials that would have been class handouts in previous years.  At this point in time, we will use this site in a limited way.  Grades for this class are not posted here at this time.

Announcements will largely be made in class, not here.  But I will use the ANNOUNCEMENTS tab sometimes, especially if I am off campus and I need to communicate.  For example, if I know ahead of time, I will try to announce any cancelled classes here.

Please open the FILES tab to access the syllabus, assignment directions, etc.

If we ever have a long term school closure because of a natural disaster, this is where you would want to look for class information.  If a significant assignment, such as the Essay Start or the Essay, was due on a short duration closure day (e.g., a fire or gas rupture, etc.), also look here for directions about what to do.  All of this is dependent, of course, on Internet connections working and on the Canvas system running.  If this system is down during a shutdown, please check back when you can to see if it is up again.

Feel free to contact me either through the Canvas mail system or my email at arjansen@uw.edu I check for messages every weekday.
