Professionalization Series for Graduate Students - The Ins and Outs of Conferences

Friday, February 23, 2018 - 1:00pm to 3:30pm
The Professionalization Series for Graduate Students (PSGS) is intended to provide a venue to share information, experiences, and best practices around a key set of issues relevant to graduate school and the broader academic profession.

This second meeting of the academic year, “The Ins and Outs of Conferences,” will take place on Friday, February 23 from 1:30pm-3:00pm in the Olson Room. The meeting will provide a general overview of the conference process, including applying, presenting, networking, and what to do with a paper afterward.

The speakers at this first event will be Victor Menaldo, Sophia Jordán Wallace, and Geoff Wallace, who will each make a brief presentation followed by an open-ended Q&A discussion.
