Internship/ Volunteer Opportunities at Fund for Global Health

What we do:

Every year over 1.2 million people are killed and 20-50 million are injured in road crashes, one of the fastest-rising causes of death and injury in the world.  It is the biggest killer of young people ages 15-29, and every day more than 500 schoolchildren are killed in road crashes.  One of the aspects of making roads safer is building them in a way that helps prevent crashes.  At the Fund for Global Health we coordinate a worldwide coalition of major organizations and grassroots NGOs to advocate for safer road construction.   This is an excellent opportunity to become involved in this rising global health challenge and to learn advocacy skills.

Fund for Global Health is also involved in creating replicable, low-cost innovations in rural health delivery, through our clinic in Nigeria, and there is an opportunity to be involved in that as well.

 Description:

We are seeking interns or volunteers, to work 10-15 hours per week for a minimum of 4 months.  You will participate in usually one weekly meeting with Seattle staff, in person or via Skype.  The areas of responsibility will depend on skills and interest.
