AUT class: Introduction to Environmental Health

 This course explores the relationship of people to their environment—how it affects their physical well being, and what they can do to protect and enhance their health and the quality of the environment. Students will be introduced to many different areas of environmental health study, fromwater quality and air pollution, to toxicologyepidemiology, and occupational safety. Recent group project topics have included: "Public Health Impacts of Climate Change in Puget Sound", "Genetically Modified Foods", "Nitrates in Ground Water", and "Factory Farming Health Impacts". This course has no prerequisites, and is open to students in all majors.
