The deadline for program submissions has been extended to Monday, March 21st  for the Husky Spring Training leadership conference. I hope to see programs from many of you and look forward to hearing you share your knowledge and insights during the conference. Thank you!

Based on our belief that one’s capacity to lead grows out of experience, practice and reflection, this annual event gives students the opportunity to build and hone the leadership skills they need to make a difference in whatever context speaks to them.  The theme of this year’s conference is We > Me, and the 50-minute programs will focus on how leadership competencies can be seen within these 4 principles of a Husky Experience:

  • Identity
  • Choices
  • Relationships
  • Trajectory

We anticipate approximately 250 students and parents will kick off Parent and Family Weekend by attending this event on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 2-5:30 p.m. in Alder Commons on the University of Washington Seattle campus.  This conference typically attracts a wide variety of students, ranging from first years to super seniors. We welcome program submissions from students, staff, faculty and alumni from all three UW campuses.  The 2015 Husky Spring Training is co-sponsored by the Husky Leadership Initiative, Housing and Food Services, The Career Center, and the Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity.

The program proposal deadline has been extended to Monday, March 21, 2016.  We hope you will join our effort in supporting students’ leadership development by submitting a program proposal here

If you have any questions, please contact the conference program committee chair, Shannon Merchant at smerch15@uw.edu
