Info Session for Students Interested in Applying to Graduate School

Graduate School Info Session
Electrical Engineering will be hosting an info session to answer prospective grad student questions about applying to graduate school. Although hosted by EE, this Info Session is not specific to students interested in applying EE and is open to all majors.  We will have faculty, grad students, recently accepted undergrads and academic advisors participating to help students better understand the following topics:
  • Programs: What type of program most suits their goals? BS-MS, MS (daytime and evening) or PhD?
  • Planning and Prep: Academics and red flags, research experience, taking the GRE and selecting references.
  • Application: GPA, requesting references, effective statement of purpose, optional personal statement and GRE Scores. 
  • Funding: Resources, Fellowships, TA/RA's and more.
 
Date/Time/Location:  May 10th, starting at 5pm in the Electrical Engineering Bldg - room EEB 303.
