Rhodes Scholarships - now open to international students from many countries currently studying in the US

Submitted by Caterina Rost on July 14, 2016 - 1:22pm

The Rhodes Scholarships have been undergoing some changes in recent years that open up the opportunity for Rhodes-funded studies at Oxford to more students from more countries around the world. For UW, this means that both our US and international students and alumni may be interested and eligible to apply. Students who are citizens (and in some cases permanent residents) of the following countries studying at UW (or elsewhere) may be eligible. Full eligibility details (including the varying age limits) are included on the websites listed below. International students apply through their home countries, but our office is available for advising and support for any UW students/alumni interested:

Applications are open now, with deadlines varying by country and ranging from August-October. This application cycle is for students/alumni hoping to begin studies at Oxford in fall 2017.

UW’s US citizen and permanent resident applicants must be nominated by UW to apply. Interested applicants should contact Robin Chang ASAP to inquire if nomination is still possible at this late date. Additional details regarding UW nomination are at http://expd.washington.edu/scholarships/search/search-results.html?page_stub=rhodesa
