DXARTS 470: Sensing and Control Systems for Digital Art

Announcement from DXARTS: 

This summer we will be offering DXARTS 470 on campus (129 Raitt Hall) on Tuesday & Thursday from 1:30-4:30pm.  DXARTS 470 counts as 5 VLPA credits. Non-DXARTS students are welcome, and no add code is required.  To register use: SLN 11172

Learning the fundamentals of DXARTS 470:

  • Arduino programming
  • Electric Circuit and Components
  • Exploring variable sensors
  • Creating kinetic movement with motors
  • Serial Communication to talk with your software

Students will build sensory immersive environments, kinetic art, interactive objects or performance and multimedia installations.  Additionally, they will explore temporality, materiality, experience and perception.
