Do you dream of earning UW credit through hands-on, immersive education, getting to know your classmates in a small group setting, all while living in another city or country? If so, we’ve got the scoop for you! 

AIS has 2 outstanding study away opportunities coming this Spring and Summer quarter that need your applications soon.

Spring 2018: Take HSTAA/AIS 311 Indigenous History and Environment of the Salish Sea in the beautiful San Juan Islands at UW’s Friday Harbor Labs. Info on the courses offered and applying for the quarter at Friday Harbor Labs can be found online and in the attachments. Application deadline: February 1st, 2018. Summer 2018: Join our chair, Chris Teuton, as he travels to Norway to study the Indigenous Sami Culture and Connection to the Land in Arctic Europe. Done in partnership with the CHID Department, you can earn 12 AIS/CHID credits in Summer A term. Information can be found on study abroad page and the attached pdf. Application deadline: January 31st, 2018.
