Have you ever wanted to learn the language spoken by the Native peoples of Seattle and southern Puget Sound?

The American Indian Studies department is very excited to be able to offer a full year of Lushootseed language again next year. If a student already has their foreign language credit, they are also open to offering the classes as VLPA credit.

Highlights include:

  • Fulfills Foreign Language requirement
  • Especially good for non-traditional learners - uses games like Bingo and storytelling
  • No final exams
  • Learn the language spoken by the Native peoples in this area
  • No prerequisites - Students of all majors and levels welcome

In Autumn 2019, the course is AIS 313.
