Community Geology Walks: Seward Park2 pm, November 2nd at the Seward Park Audubon Center
We have a crew of graduate students who have designed and planned geologic walking tours of local parks. This is part of our continuing initiative to bring our enthusiasm for natural history and geology to local audiences, and in particular to make our science more accessible by bringing these opportunities out into the community.Join a UW Earth and Space Sciences graduate student volunteer from Rockin' Out for a one-hour walk through Seward Park, where you can learn about Seattle's bedrock, its earthquake-producing faults, and the landscape legacy of the ice age!
