Professor Jake Grumbach is an associate professor of political science at the University of Washington who focuses on the political economy of U.S. Democracy. The Seattle Times recently featured Professor Grumbach and his new book,  Laboratories Against Democracy: How National Parties Transformed State Politics, in their article, "UW professor outlines how states went from the laboratories of democracy to working against it"
