Over roughly the last 50 years there were 243 indictments of current and former world leaders by their own governments. Many of those countries were democracies. James D. Long, an associate professor of political science at the University of Washington, talks to Ilya Marritz about lessons on holding former leaders accountable from nations such as France, South Korea, and South Africa.
