Danny Ayala Robles

Danny Ayala Robles joined the department in November 2022 as a new Academic Advisor. Danny received his Bachelor of Arts in Education, Communities, and Organizations with a minor in Diversity at the University of Washington. His experiences as a first-generation and non-traditional college student greatly contributed to his passion for supporting others in navigating the higher education system and achieving their academic and career goals.

Prior to joining the Department of Political Science, Danny worked in the UAA Advising Office supporting pre-major students here at UW-Seattle. He was also one of the advisers for the Data Science and Leadership minors. Before completing his degree and becoming an adviser, Danny served in the US Army and was stationed on JBLM here in Washington. He has also worked supporting high school seniors, community college transfers, undocumented students, and students from low-income households.

Danny is from Los Angeles, California but has lived in Washington State for 8 years now. In his free time, he enjoys watching soccer, basketball, and football along with going on long walks with his 2-year-old dog, Sol. Although Danny has preferred living in Seattle over Los Angeles, he misses the great Mexican and Central American food he grew up eating and always welcomes new recommendations!
