Global Fellowships Prep (GFP)

Ever thought about researching, studying or teaching abroad? Join the Global Fellowship Prep (GFP) community to learn ways to engage in cultural exchange, build real-world experience, and get a head-start on your career!

What is it? Global Fellowships Prep helps UW undergraduate, graduate, and professional students and alumni from all three campuses learn about and be competitive applicants for funded, globally-focused opportunities. Programming is coordinated by the Graduate School Office of Fellowships & Awards and the Office of Merit Scholarships, Fellowships & Awards (UAA).

Who is it for? Programs are available for students early in their undergraduate career all the way through graduate school and beyond:

  • UW undergraduate, graduate and professional students and alumni from all 3 UW campuses.
  • Juniors, seniors, grad students and alums ready to plan for a 2024-25 research, study, teaching or interning experience.
  • First and second year student who want to learn about programs targeting early undergrads
