Prof. Aseem Prakash and colleague Prof. Nives Dolšak tell us in a new Forbes article that the Ukraine invasion reveals how National Security, International Trade, and Climate Change are connected.

This article discusses the relationship between national security, international trade, and climate change as highlighted by the Ukraine invasion. In this article, the author discusses Germany's dependence on Russian energy and China's dominance in renewable energy supply chains, as well as the possibility of changing the way nuclear energy is used for security and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. It calls for a new global trading architecture that addresses national security and climate concerns.

"We recognize that nuclear does not completely solve the trade dependence problem because its feedstock might be imported. Yet, the Uranium supply chain is not controlled by a single country – and even much less for Thorium."
