Lucas Owen is a PhD graduate from the Department of Political Science at the University of Washington. His interests include the political economy of institutions, development, and industrial organization. His dissertation, "How Standards Solve the Problems of Supply Chain Disintegration for Interdependent Technologies", examines how technology standards relate to disintegration and the general evolution of the information technology sector over the last quarter century.
