Join us online for our Winter 2022 Faculty Panel on Thursday, February 17, 2022, 5:30-7:00PM PST to discuss the future of Afghanistan.

Afghanistan remains an important US foreign policy matter despite the US military withdrawal in 2021. There is a looming economic and humanitarian crisis, a potential refugee crisis, and the Taliban's accommodation of extremist groups. All of these issues impact the US directly and indirectly through our relations with other affected nations. Please join us for a discussion of the future of Afghanistan.

Professor Tony Gill - The Taliban: Why does a minority religious group control a nation?
Professor Asli Cansunar - International implications of an Afghan refugee crisis
Professor James Long - Sanctions or Aid? The dilemmas of US foreign policy
