Syllabus Description (from Canvas):
This course is designed as an introductory survey of the field of political economy. We will explore how economics and politics intersect and interact with one another. We will explore rational choice theory as a school of thought to make sense of human behavior. To this end, we will also study basic concepts of microeconomics, public choice, and game theory.
Your grade for this class will be based on 5 small assignments, a midterm, and a final exam. Instruction will be remote and asynchronous.

Catalog Description:
Political economy as a tool for understanding and evaluating the political world. Combines theory, methods, and insights derived from economics and political science and applies them to a range of substantive issues. Course equivalent to: TPOL S 270.
