The Political Science Department is pleased to invite applications for the Duck Family Scholarship to help fund undergraduates majoring in Political Science who face financial hardship. The scholarship is sponsored by Gary and Susan Duck, both graduates of the University of Washington, who aim to support the ambitions, goals and growth of the scholarship's recipients.
The scholarship will be awarded for winter and spring quarters and will cover full or partial tuition or other approved educational expenses, up to $4,132 per quarter. Actual scholarship amounts awarded will be determined by the Political Science Department. We regret that we will be unable to award scholarships to all of our deserving students.
Eligibility: The scholarship is restricted to Political Science majors who are within two years of graduation. Competitive applicants will demonstrate academic achievement and will document financial need or significant personal or family financial hardship endured in order to fund their education. Applicants may be working or receiving loans and need not qualify for traditional need-based grants or scholarships.
Online Application: Go to https://catalyst.uw.edu/webq/survey/meroy/239282
Applications are due by Wednesday, November 4, 2015. The Political Science Department expects to announce scholarship decisions by Monday, November 30. Applications by students who receive financial aid will be reviewed by the Office of Student Financial Aid to determine financial need.
