Campaign Fellow with Egan for Seattle

Summary:

Are you passionate about local politics? Interested in getting hands-on experience in campaign management, strategy, and messaging? Egan Orion’s campaign for Seattle City Council District 3 is looking for talented, committed people to work with us on a cutting-edge political campaign.

In this position you’ll work closely with the campaign manager and the candidate, Egan Orion, to increase voter contact, promote volunteer engagement, and organize events crucial to the campaign’s success.

At the conclusion of this fellowship, fellows may include this experience on their resume or a college application and receive a letter of recommendation for future use. This fellowship may also qualify for community service hours or course credits.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work on one of the most influential campaigns of the 2019 Seattle campaign cycle. We are committed to teaching our fellows about campaign organizing and helping them forge strong connections within the Seattle political community.

Time Frame:

September through November. Intern time commitments may vary and are flexible. However, we request a minimum of 10 hours a week with some availability on weeknights and weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and respectfully with voters
  • Comfort working with the public
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to work independently and within a team Passion for civic engagement and politics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Canvassing experience
  • Knowledge of local politics
  • Experience with VoteBuilder
