Organizing Intern position for Ingrid Anderson for State Senate (D)

About the internship:

Organizing Interns will be the face of the campaign, responsible for communicating Ingrid’s message directly to voters and recruiting volunteers to persuade and motivate supporters to vote in the Primary and General Elections.

Organizing Interns will gain invaluable experience and work directly with communities in Washington’s 5th Legislative District including Issaquah, Maple Valley, and Snoqualmie. Applicants should be committed to progressive values and be willing to put in the work to win.

In this position you will:

  • ●  Conduct direct voter outreach through phone calls and text messages;

  • ●  Recruit and train volunteers to meet voter contact goals;

  • ●  Run direct voter contact events with volunteers over Zoom;

  • ●  Assist with virtual Town Halls, House Parties and other events designed to persuade

    voters and engage volunteers;

  • ●  Help campaign coordinate with allied organizations, political stakeholders, surrogates

    and endorsers

● Assist with social media outreach with opportunities to draft shareable graphics and other content if interested.

  • ●  Good sense of humor and ability to adapt quickly;

  • ●  Ability to work independently and over virtual platforms;

  • ●  Previous campaign experience is not required.

    Ingrid Anderson for State Senate (D) is operating within the parameters of Governor Inslee’s “shelter in place” place rule, therefore this position will be remote for the foreseeable future. In the event the rule is lifted, additional responsibilities may include direct outreach to voters through door-knocking and training volunteers at in-person canvass events in the 5th LD.

    This is a position reports directly to the Campaign Manager. Organizing Interns will commit 12 hours per week from now until the Primary Election. Internship credit may be available, depending on the requirements of the school.
