Department of Asian Languages and Literature Graduate Student Colloquium

Event Details

April 25th, 2015, 10-5pm
317 Thomson Hall
University of Washington

The Graduate Student Union of the Department of Asian Languages and Literature at the University of Washington is pleased to announce the 2015 Graduate Student Colloquium. This annual event has always been a great opportunity for graduate students from across different departments and schools at the University of Washington, and farther afield, to interact with each other and to catch up on the latest Asia-related research happening in our own backyard.

All graduate students, and any qualified undergraduates, are encouraged to submit abstracts and proposals to present in this year’s colloquium. The only restriction is that the subject be Asia-related — all disciplines welcome. We are hoping to get a good mix of presenters this year from many departments here at the University of Washington and from our fellow scholars from the region. This is a great opportunity for students to gain experience in presenting formal academic papers in a smaller, informal atmosphere. Share your ideas and learn what your fellow Asian studies scholars are researching.

Submit proposals of 150-200 words to Chris Diamond — cldiam@uw.edu by April 10th
