YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund - UW information sessions re: $5, 000 scholarships + internships + mentorship from industry executives

Submitted by Political Science Advising on April 28, 2015 - 9:36am

The YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund invests in the future of the fashion industry through awarding scholarships to undergraduate students with an interest in working in the fashion industry, either from the business perspective or the design perspective. Each year, the program awards over 100 $5,000 scholarships, and the program also includes opportunities for industry internships and mentorship from top executives.

Douglas Evans, YMA FSF Executive Director, will be at UW Seattle to meet with students, faculty, and staff from all 3 campuses to share information about the program, and to serve as a resource for students interested in learning about careers in the fashion industry. Mr. Evans has also had a long career in the performing arts and advocating for arts funding (short bio included on the attached).
