Events this week include two opportunities to see human rights activist Justice Edwin Cameron of the Constitutional Court of South Africa: the inaugural seminar from our global environmental change center (CHanGE) featuring Ron Sims; and an information session on KUSKAYA, a one-year fellowship in Peru for graduate and post-doctoral students.

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic Administrative Fellowship Program
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic's (YVFWC) Sollus Northwest Administrative Fellowship Program is a 12-month program providing extensive exposure to the management and unique dynamics of a Federally Qualified Health Center. The program is specifically intended for, but not limited to, recent MHA, MBA, MPH and MPA graduates from an accredited graduate school with a desire and commitment to serving underserved populations with an emphasis on the Latino population.

UW/Fred Hutch Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) Global to Local Award
The Global to Local (G2L) pilot awards are for development and implementation of innovative and collaborative HIV-related research projects by junior faculty. Pilot awards provide an opportunity to initiate new research or to leverage new directions for research within ongoing projects that will provide important preliminary data to seed future larger proposals by junior investigators. Studies with potential to obtain pilot data for development of future grant proposals are given priority.
Deadline: Monday, October 19, 2015

UW/Fred Hutch Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) International Infrastructure Awards
Infrastructure awards are designed to build capacity for UW international HIV research activities.  The awards generally benefit multiple studies and/or investigators within a single research site.  They can be used to renovate facilities and purchase supplies and equipment that contribute to the execution, efficiency and development of research projects.
Deadline: Monday, October 19, 2015 

UW/Fred Hutch Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) International Pilot Awards
The international pilot awards are for development and implementation of innovative and collaborative HIV-related research projects in developing countries by junior faculty. Pilot awards provide an opportunity to initiate new research or to leverage new directions for research within ongoing projects that will provide important preliminary data to seed future larger proposals by junior investigators in international settings. Studies with potential to obtain pilot data for development of future grant proposals are given priority.
Deadline: Monday, October 19, 2015

 UW Office of Global Affairs Global Innovation Fund
The Global Innovation Fund from the Office of Global Affairs seeds initiatives and programs developing cross-college and cross-continent collaborations that enhance the UW’s global reach. Global Innovation Fund awards provide initial seed funding for faculty research proposals, leading-edge student experiences, and collaborations aligned with the University’s strategic regional priorities.
Deadline: Friday, October 30, 2015

The Global Health Resource Center is the University’s hub for global health-related activities. We offer a variety of recurring events throughout the year and all are welcome unless otherwise noted. The resource center also manages the Department of Global Health's funding and fieldwork opportunities, provides career advice and information referral, and develops tools to disseminate information about global health activities both here and abroad.
