Students for a New American Politics PAC Organizing Fellowship

Submitted by Caterina Rost on November 4, 2015 - 9:41am

Students for a New American Politics (SNAP) PAC is a Political Action Committee run by Yale students that works to elect progressive candidates and train a new generation of progressive leaders. We provide paid summer fellowships for students to work as grassroots organizers on progressive congressional campaigns across the country. Every election cycle, we raise tens of thousands of dollars from private donors and political organizations, endorse a slate of progressive congressional candidates, and run a nationwide application process to find our summer fellows. Since our founding in 2006, we have raised over $200,000, endorsed dozens of candidates, and trained more than 100 fellows.

Our fellows receive intensive training, then work for 10 to 12 weeks in the summer months with an optional extension to November as full-time field organizers. After the Fellowship, many SNAP alumni continue as exceptional progressive organizers. Some serve in government, some become integral parts of the labor movement, and others excel working on political campaigns.

Interested applicants may access the application on our website, http://www.snappac.org/
