Friday! Early Fall Exploration Seminar/Theater course in LONDON: Friday, January 15th from 3:30-4:30-pm in B13 Padelford Hall (English Lounge, Lower Level)
AND also Friday, January 29th @ 3:30 in B13 Padelford and Friday, February 12 in B13 Padelford 

Summer in London 2016
June 18 - July 22, 2016 (5 weeks, 15 credits)

During Summer A-Term* 2016, the Department of English will again offer a five-week version of its highly successful program of study in London. The program will consist of three courses: London's Contemporary Theater (ENGL 344/444) taught by UW English Faculty, Dr. Carrie Matthews, Art, Architecture, and Society (ART H 399) taught by British Professor Peter Buckroyd, and Contemporary Britain (HSTEU 490) taught by British Professor Michael Fosdal. Professors Buckroyd and Fosdal are our London faculty, and have been teaching our students to rave reviews for more than ten years.

Early Fall 2016 Exploration Seminar in London
Theater in London and Stratford-Upon-Avon
August 21 - September 17, 2016 (5 credits)

Theater in London and Stratford, ENGL 395, 5 credits, VLPA: The goal of the program is to help students become more informed, active, confident, and critical participants in theater productions. We will read five plays and discuss possibilities for dramatic representation before seeing them on stage; we will write about our experiences in a theater notebook/scrapbook; and we will tour theater districts in London, the Shakespeare properties in Stratford, and take backstage tours at the National Theatre and the Globe.
