the CoMotion Mary Gates Innovation Scholars program is now accepting applications for Summer 2016! Students can spend Summer quarter working as interns with UW faculty-led startups, seeking to transfer research to real-world applications. Participants will build upon their strengths and learn about intellectual property and entrepreneurship through hands-on teamwork with an emerging company.
Each Innovation Scholar will receive a $5,000 award and earn course credit.
Students with backgrounds in biology, business, chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, nursing, physics, programming, public health, psychology, statistics and more should apply. Eleven different internships are available this year, across a broad spectrum of engineering and health sciences fields.
WHAT: CoMotion Mary Gates Innovation Scholars
WHEN: Summer 2016 (June 20 – August 19)
EARN: $5,000 and course credit
DEADLINE: Monday, April 25 at midnight
Students from all three campuses are invited to apply. All internships will be at/near the Seattle campus. Only degree-seeking UW undergraduate students are eligible (students graduating in Spring 2016 are not eligible; students who will graduate in Summer 2016 or later are eligible).
