WashPIRG Winter 2017 Kick Off Meeting

~ You are invited to ~

WashPIRG Winter Kick Off
Wednesday, Jan 18th
6pm in Smith Hall Room 102

Please join WashPIRG in kicking off the campaigns we will be working on this quarter and find out how to get involved! RSVP here to learn how YOU can make real change happen.

WashPIRG is a non-partisan statewide, student-directed and student funded advocacy organization, working to protect the environment, fight poverty, and promote democracy. We have been working on campus to solve real problems for over forty years with the help of students like you. Now more than ever is the time for students to actively participate in democracy.

Campaigns:

  1. Fight Hunger and Homelessness - Raising awareness, volunteering, and collecting donations for local and international organizations
  2. Washington Go Solar - Convincing the state to commit to 15% solar energy by 2025
  3. Make Textbooks More Affordable - Implementing a free, open-source textbooks program on campus
  4. Save the Bees - Working to ban neonicotinoids, a chemical in pesticides that is extremely dangerous to bees

Come out to the Kick Off to learn more about this semester’s campaigns, how to take on leadership, and become a student activist! We’ll also have FREE DONUTS so bring your friends!

Remember it’s in Smith Hall Room 102 on Wednesday at 6:00pm.
