The James Madison Fellowship awards scholarships to college seniors and those who have earned a bachelor’s but do not yet have teaching experience, and who intend to become secondary school teachers of American history, government, or any other area of social studies that include the teaching of the US Constitution in grades 7-12. The Fellowship provides up to $24,000 toward graduate study leading to a master’s degree at any accredited institution in the US (degrees could include MA, Master of Arts in Teaching, or MEd). Join us to learn more about the program, application process, and gain insights into the Fellow experience from Madison Fellow alumni Russell Cannon, UW Bothell’s Director of Institutional Research, and May Wong, teacher in the Kent School District!
Additional details and the application are available at http://www.jamesmadison.gov/. The application deadline for this year is March 1, 2017.
