Title: Talent Management & Development

Description: The definition of “talent” can be placed on a continuum between the two extremes of inclusivity and exclusivity. Inclusivity implies that all employees have talent whereas exclusivity emphasizes a limited number of key people holding critical positions in the organizations. In this course, we define talent as individuals who possess high levels of human capital and make a difference to organizational performance. We focus on examining the most updated theories and practices in attracting, developing, and retaining these talents. In addition, we will cover the topic of career management, which is closely related to talent management and emphasizes how each individual employee should and can take control of his or her own career advancement in the workplaces.
