 *  Learn and practice prevention and de-escalation techniques for challenging behaviors

Additional Details

Please note that this course does not meet weekly, but requires participation in three Saturday training sessions and some online work, which can be completed at your own pace. Participants will receive a Right Response certification for participating in this part of the course. In addition to these training components, participants must be available to work for one week in an inclusive STEM program serving preschoolers with and without disabilities.

This program is scheduled for February 19-23, 2018. During February 19-23, students serve as an intern. As an intern, their primary role is to engage with kids during play, supporting kids during circle time and seated tasks, and supporting the group during field trips.

Participants will receive ongoing professional development and training during this time. There is a google form link in the attached flyer - the google form  has more details about the timing of the program as well as the contact information of the program coordinator, Tara.
