- Study Abroad Fair – Thursday, November 8th 10am-2pm, HUB Ballroom (no RSVP required)

Study Abroad Mixer
Explore programs, speak with advisers, connect with faculty, learn about scholarships to study abroad and have fun with fellow students at our fall social. This is a great event for students who want to learn more about study abroad in a smaller setting with more individualized support. Dinner included! RSVP required.
“Remixing Your Reality” with Blake Brandes
Freestyle rapper and beatboxer Blake Brandes will deliver a performance that will have you getting creative, reaching higher and writing your own story about your purpose at the UW and beyond. RSVP to attend.
Dr. Blake Brandes is a TEDx speaker, America’s Got Talent performer, and co-founder of the personal development company, Motivational Millennial. With a Ph.D. in hip-hop and global youth cultures, Blake has presented to over 100,000 students to help them “remix their realities” and achieve their dreams. Blake was the recipient of the Marshall Scholarship, one of the most competitive postgraduate awards in the world, and he is also a rapper, beatboxer, and Top 40 music producer who has performed over 200 shows in Europe and the US, including with the creator of Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda. This event is co-sponsored by the Husky Leadership Initiative, Comparative History of Ideas and Peer2Peer Scholarship.
