Spring Quarter, 2019

JSIS 487 / 587, Wednesdays, 2:30 – 4:20, 3 credits

This course will explore the meaning and potential of multi-sector entrepreneurship as defined and practiced in the US and the Middle East.  Case studies involving projects that have economic, social, educational and often environmental impact will serve as models for teams of students from the UW and a university in Jordan. These teams will utilize educational technologies to work collaboratively to develop broad-impact pilot projects in both regions, drawing throughout the quarter on a growing familiarity with local laws, customs, history, business practices, and government initiatives.
