Italian Studies in Rome: Power and Privilege in Italian Language and Culture

Join us in Rome for Winter 2020, learn Italian, and practice your new language skills! Study race, difference, and identity across history, using Rome and surrounding areas as your classroom.

15 credits, no prerequisites:

*Race in Italy: Inventing others in early modern Europe (5 cr, VLPA / DIV) – taught by Prof. Susan Gaylard.

*Accelerated Italian (10 cr; 15 cr VLPA if you also complete Ital 103 in Spring) – taught by Dr. Virginia Agostinelli, teacher extraordinaire, resident of Rome, and tour guide for Rick Steves.

*WINTER is the best time to go to Rome (few tourists, sunny and beautiful)!

*The best way to study abroad is with faculty who speak the language and know the culture – so join us!
