Dr. Deborah Giles, a resident scientist at UW Friday Harbor Labs and instructor for the spring FHL 375: Marine Mammals of the Salish Sea course this spring will be on the Seattle campus to give a guest lecture about her research with the Southern Resident Killer Whale population. Learn more about what makes this population unique, the novel research methods used to collect data (including use of the conservation canines) and the future of these pods.
