Program on the Environment Taiwan Study Abroad Program (Summer 2020)

Theme: Exploring Environmental and Social Resilience

Application deadline: January 31, 2020

Summer A-Term, 2020, Travel dates: 6/23/2020 - 7/22/2020

Three courses with 2 + 10 credits (2 spring quarter credits & 10 summer quarter credits):

  • ENVIR 495/JSIS 484: Taiwan’s Natural Landscapes and Environmental Issues
    (Preparation Course in Spring 2020, 2 credits)
  • ENVIR 496/JSIS 391: Exploring Environmental and Social Resilience (Summer A-term 2020, 5 credits)
  • ENVIR 495: Food and Society (Summer A-term 2020, 5 credits)

Estimated Program Fee:  $4,700, which covers instruction, housing, program activities, field trips, local transportation, and some group meals. Airfare is not included, which typically is about $1200-$1400 round trip. Students do not pay tuition in additional to program fee. This program offers 10 credits in the summer quarter. Qualified students may receive partial financial aid for the summer.
