The Education Rome 2020 Exploration Seminar is in its third year and currently accepting applications with a priority deadline of Friday, February 15th.
It is a 3-week program based at the UW Rome Center (right in the heart of the Italian capital) that explores the impact of historical and contemporary concepts of gender and multiculturalism. Students then use those concepts and social constructs to compare educational pipelines/life trajectory in both the U.S. and Italy via small field research projects and photo elicitation. As an interdisciplinary program, there is a keen interest in admitting students from a wide range of majors/disciplines.
