FIUTS Japan Programs - Volunteer Opportunity

This February and March, FIUTS (Foundation for International Understanding Through Students) will host three short-term visiting programs for undergraduate students from universities in Japan – Tokyo Institute of Technology, Waseda University, and Ehime University. Program dates and themes are as follows:

2/21 & 2/24: Tokyo Tech (Themes include U.S. culture and education, English language)

2/22-3/3: Sports and Culture Program with Waseda University

3/1-3/15: Education and Diversity Program with Ehime University

 

Ambassadors will also have the opportunity to help host a group of Japanese high school students on campus on the morning of Sunday, March 29th. More details to come!

 

We are currently looking for 11 UW students to volunteer as Japan Programs Ambassadors for the duration of these programs. Ambassadors act as peer mentors, cultural liaisons, student leaders, and friends for the visiting students. All current UW students are eligible to apply. Students with specific interests in Japan, Japanese language, education, sports management or cross-cultural communication are encouraged to apply. Applications are due Sunday, February 16th and can be found online at www.fiuts.org/japan-ambassadors
