 Power of Information: Graduate Degrees in Information Science

The Information School would like to invite you and your respective organizational membership to attend The Power of Information: Virtual Information Science Graduate Programs Fair October 27, 2020 from 4-6 pm PDT. The fair will showcase Information Science opportunities and programs for prospective graduate students at more than 20 universities in North America!

 

The fair will take place in two parts:

 

4:00 pm Power of Information: Disrupt Misinformation and Disinformation Panel Discussion

Hear from leading researchers on the impact of disinformation and misinformation in public, private, and non-profit sectors. The discussion will be moderated by the UW iSchool Dean, Anind Dey. Panel participants include; Chris Coward (University of Washington/Center for an Informed Public), Ben Horne (University of Tennessee- Knoxville), Emily Knox (University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign), Laura Sanders (Simmons University) and Md Hassan Zamir (Dominican University).

 

4:45 - 6:00 pm - Fall 2020 Virtual Information Science Graduate Programs Fair

Explore your career potential in the information fields by speaking with representatives from US and Canadian graduate programs in Information Science.

Participating schools will provide a brief overview of their programs in three different sessions.  Participants may jump between sessions as-desired.

    • 4:45 – 5:10 pm PT
    • 5:15 – 5:35 pm PT
    • 5:40 – 6 pm PT

Space is limited to 300 participants, so interested parties are encouraged to RSVP early!
