Submitted by Colleen Park on October 28, 2020 - 10:35pm

LAST CALL for a transformative opportunity! Would you like to collaborate and learn with diverse student communities? Do you want to refine your project management skills? Are you interested in doing research on UW policies? Have you been looking for an opportunity to learn more about how to make UW a more equitable institution?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, then you should apply for the ASUW Diversity Efforts Internship located here! The internship is for the duration of the 2020-2021 school year and the expectation is 3-5 hours per week. You can also find it through http://volunteer.asuw.org/

Interns will collaborate with the Director of Diversity Efforts to build authentic and intentional relationships with diverse campus communities. There is an opportunity to manage and assess a project by focusing on one diversity-related goal outlined by the intern. Students will network with other students and relevant diversity entities on campus. The intern can gain and improve upon skills such as time management, interpersonal communication, project development, cultural awareness, identifying stakeholders in higher education settings, and intentional community-building.

Applications close on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Please reach out to asuwbddv@uw.edu if you have any further questions or accessibility needs.
