UW is one of very few schools in the United States that teaches Danish and Finnish. The Scandinavian Department would love your help in promoting our 101 and 201 Danish and Finnish language courses to current students. Here are a few highlights that students should know about Danish and Finnish language courses :
- VLPA credit
- Foreign Language requirement fulfillment
- potential to earn credit by exam for previous study (for example heritage speakers, previous exchanges students)
- small, fun, interactive learning environment
- great way to prepare for a study abroad in Denmark or Finland (lots of funded opportunities in these countries)
- great way to continue for students who have already studied in Denmark or Finland
Please help spread the word about these language courses. They are offered sequentially, so it is important students know to register fall quarter for 101 or 201.
