Hello everyone,
My name is Maricruz Maldonado and I am the current outreach intern for the UW Student Legal Services. For those of you who may not be as familiar with UW SLS, we are an on-campus law office that provides a safe and confidential space to UW Seattle and Bothell students through free 40 minute consultations and ongoing low cost representation to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
Our office is now hiring for the Outreach Intern position and we are seeking an hourly undergraduate outreach intern to assist in promoting awareness and usage of SLS resources to UW-Seattle and UW Bothell students. The intern will also be responsible for the day to day operations of the SLS office, with the main objective being outreach. This includes but is not limited to: answering general questions, explaining processes, tabling, designing posters/fliers, distributing advertising materials, giving presentations, and Organizing Know Your Rights presentations and different legal workshops across campus.
