The College of Education is pleased to announce the formation of the Future Teachers of Color (FTOC) aimed at serving undergraduate students of Color who have an interest in becoming teachers/educators.
Using critical race frameworks, culturally sustaining pedagogies, and community cultural wealth, FTOC seeks to foster a co-constructed chosen space for future teachers of Color to build community and engage in coalition building with the goal of transforming schools into spaces of educational justice and joy for Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, and Pacific Islander youth
Interested undergrads are invited to attend an information session on Wednesday, November 9 @ 5pm. Please share the flyer and interest form [docs.google.com] with students you know who are looking to make a meaningful impact on kids and the schools and communities that serve them.
