Undergraduate Job Opportunity for Pre-Law Students!

Submitted by Stephen Dunne on January 12, 2023 - 2:43pm
We are seeking an hourly undergraduate legal assistant (freshman or sophomore standing) to assist in the day-to-day operations of Student Legal Services. The legal assistant will be responsible for scheduling client meetings, record management, ordering office supplies, client billing, and other duties as assigned.
The candidate chosen for this position will have the opportunity to gain interpersonal office management skills, experience working with legal documents in a law office, experience working with legal software, and interacting with clients. They will develop relationships with attorneys and legal interns that will be beneficial in their future. Additionally, this position will aid students interested in a career in the law (although they do not necessarily need to be "pre-law" students). Applications are due February 9, 2023! Students can apply via Handshake (scan the QR code) or through our linktree. We have also attached the flyer for easier access to show students.

A bit about us: University of Washington Student Legal Services (UW SLS) is an on-campus law office that provides a safe and confidential space for all UW-Seattle and Bothell students who have legal questions or concerns. Specifically, SLS can assist students in areas such as immigration, landlord/tenant, name and gender marker changes, contracts, discrimination, obtaining a protection order, traffic tickets, criminal cases, and other legal issues.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
Many thanks,
