Submitted by Stephen Dunne on January 30, 2023 - 3:22pm

The UW Seattle Career & Internship Center would love for you to pass some details on to Huskies regarding two upcoming job and internship fairs.

FOR ALL 3 CAMPUSES:

WHAT: Health & Life Sciences Job & Internship Fair, open to all majors across UW Seattle, Bothell and Tacoma

WHEN: THIS THURSDAY! February 2nd, 2023, from 12:30-3:30pm

WHERE: 100% IN-PERSON at Mary Gates Hall Commons, 1st floor, on the UW Seattle campus

22 registered employers are actively recruiting Huskies for full- and part-time career and internship roles in the healthcare, biotech, biosciences and social assistance industries. Students can preview that list of employers here and are encouraged to register for the fair, browse attending employers’ open positions prior to attending, and prepare and bring at least 20 copies of an updated resume.

**Bothell and Tacoma, we do not believe there is a need for mass advertising about this opportunity, but please feel welcome to share this information if students are asking about their ability to attend. This fair is currently visible to all three campuses on Handshake.

FOR UW SEATTLE ADVISERS & CAREER GROUP MEMBERS:

WHAT: UW Seattle Virtual Winter Job & Internship Fair, open to all majors across UW Seattle

WHEN: February 16th, 2023, from 11:30am-3:00pm

WHERE: Virtual, hosted on Handshake

100+ employers are actively recruiting Huskies for full- and part-time career and internship roles across all industries: from accounting to sales, engineering to social work. This fairs’ Silver Sponsors are Altman, Rogers & Co. (accounting), Columbia Distributing (food & beverage), Era Living (assisted living), and Star Protection Agency (security). Students can preview a full list of employers here and are encouraged to register for the fair when student registration opens on February 7th. They will be required to take the following steps:

  1. Set their profile visibility to ‘Community’
  2. Register for the fair on February 7th
  3. Sign up for Group and 1:1 Sessions—there is no way to participate in the fair without signing up for sessions in advance!

We encourage students to update their Handshake profiles with recent job, volunteer and coursework experience, as well as a resume for employers to review.
