Campaign Manager 

Job Description 

As one of the primary campaign staff member, the Campaign Manager works to execute a people-powered, grassroots campaign. The Campaign Manager manages the candidate’s calendar, logistics of day-to-day activities, endorsement processes, social media across multiple platforms, virtual events, and voter contact. 

The Campaign Manager usually lays the groundwork to build a strong campaign infrastructure in the first few months of the campaign. Since, we are less than six weeks from the primary, most of the manager’s work will be executing what the candidate has already planned. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, persistence, enthusiasm, and attention to detail. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Manage day to day campaign operations and support the candidate in completing campaign tasks. 
  • Maintain a campaign schedule for the candidate. 
  • Manage endorsement processes, including questionnaires and interviews. 
  • Write, design, and post content for social media platforms, website, and email communications. 
  • Coordinate and execute frequent virtual campaign events, ranging in type and scope, ie: long form town halls, brief community conversations, short videos from the candidate, etc. 
  • Track and plan voter contact goals with the candidate. 
  • Coordinate with campaign and fundraising consultants regularly. 
  • Other projects and tasks as needed. 
  • Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator to 
  • Execute a strong organizing and volunteer recruitment strategy to source and activate remote volunteers throughout the campaign. 
  • Keep detailed records of volunteers’ information, assignments, and goals. 

Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience on political or organizing campaigns is preferred. 
  • Previous experience utilizing social media and digital platforms for ongoing outreach - ie: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. 
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, as hours can be irregular. 
  • Ability to work in collaboration with candidate and the volunteer coordinator 
  • Ability to manage up to the candidate and build a positive culture for campaign staff and volunteers.

Campaign Volunteer 

Job Description 

Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to both Get Out the Message (GOTM) and Get Out the Vote (GOTV) for  the candidate. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Learn about the Candidate and the platform. 
  • Work under the leadership of the Volunteer Coordinator. 
  • Get the candidate’s message out as directed. Volunteer Coordinator plans the when, what and where. 
  • Keep the Volunteer Coordinator up to date about one’s availability. 
  • Be on time when scheduled. 
  • Come with a positive attitude when campaigning. 
  • Enjoy working in group setting. 
  • Follow the buddy system and support/protect other volunteers. 
  • Identify any issues either while canvassing or concerns raised by voters an communicate up the chain. 
  • Have fun!!! 

Qualifications: 

  • 18 years or older. 
  • Positive attitude.
