Digital Media Specialist for Seattle City Council Candidate
Description:
This is a short term project to help the candidate for City Council move on to the general election. The primary election is August 1. If the candidate moves on to the election, the position will continue until the general election Nov 7’th. You will be working directly with the candidate, who is a former digital advertising agency owner. The successful digital media specialist must be well versed in social media/email marketing skills and hit the ground running.
Duties:
- Building and executing social media strategies
- Generating and publishing daily content
- Creating and updating social media posting schedules
- Replying to comments from subscribers or liking tagged photos
- Creating and publishing content on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to grow an audience, build awareness, and ultimately, get votes
- Producing and distributing engaging email campaigns
- Overseeing site metrics, interacting with readers, and being responsible for creative design
- working closely with the candidate to generate a social media marketing strategy that will promote engagement and awareness.
